Giant Fruit Bingsus | Cafe de Paris 카페드파리 Garosugil

vibes

The cafe itself looks quaint with mismatched wooden chairs, souvenirs of Paris, and Parisian paintings. It was a quiet and spacious atmosphere perfect for both studying and chatting with friends.

fooods

The strawberry bonbon is one of the the signature item at Cafe de Paris and was the sole reason for my visit. Unfortunately, the strawberry bonbon is only available in the winter, so I resorted to the cherry bonbon. It costed 16,000 won. Almost $16.00! I was shook. However, it tasted amazing. It consisted of layers of a more sophisticated cherry slushee and loads of whipped cream, decorated with more than 20 halved cherries. The price is definitely due to the construction of the monster but also the sheer amount of fruit that you get.

final thots

I would definitely come back for the mango/grape/strawberry bonbon, but with a friend to share it with! The portion, as well as the price, was a bit large for one person. I also enjoyed getting work done there. The space big enough to where I didn't feel like a disturbance to the staff, and there were a decent amount of outlets available.

pros: nice quiet atmosphere (probably not on weekends), outlets, generous portions andlots of fruit

cons: expensive!!

find it: 59 Nonhyeon-ro 161-gil, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Walk down garosu-gil from Sinsa Station exit 8, turn right on Nonhyeon-ro 159 gil before you reach the Starbucks. Take the next left. It will be on your right.
