How to Waste All of Your Money | Cafe Dior 카페디올 Apgujeong
vibes
Very, very beautiful. The cafe is almost intimidating because it is so pretty. The entrance to the cafe was jaw-dropping. The painting, which was the most appealing portrayal of the bluest ocean, was immaculately paired with ombre-gray sofas. There's something so satisfying about expensive af furniture and their rich, pigmented color. If Cafe Mula is my dream terrace, Cafe Dior is certainly my dream living room!
But the biggest vibe was, "you must have taken a wrong turn!" (I misjudged my #OOTD and didn't pull all the "HEY I'M RICH, I BELONG" stops. In fact, I dressed like I was going to dance class. Like a lower-mid class hoodlum! You'll see 🤣)
fooods
First off, you have to order one thing per person. Which is common in a lot of "higher end" cafes, but here's the thing: Drinks range from 18,000 to 25,000 won and dessert is 32,000 won 🤯. I thought, "okay, maybe I can order a set (one latte, a cookie and a croissant for 38,000)" so that my friend Christine and I could share. The server let me know that that only counts as one order. While my wallet, brain, intestines and uterine lining were rotting away, I told the lady to stab me in the heart and also give me two lattes.
First thing that went through my head was, "Did I order 19,000 won Milk or 19,000 won Water?". The Lord looked down upon us and told the waitress to at LEAST give us some complimentary chocolate cookies, which was instrumental in helping me wash down the water-or-milk. I thought, for sure! my 19,000 won would at least give me a latte better than that of Starbucks or even McDonald's. Yet here I was, chugging this warm ass latte like it was 5 shots of vodka. Thank God they were beautiful or else I would have flipped a table.
Note: This cafe is supposed to be known for its desserts by Pierre Herme...which I guess is why the latte was so bad, but sadly I would have had to sacrifice my first born child to try one dessert.

final thots
One day, when I become an influencer and also Korean Beyoncé, I will come back here, buy out the cafe/flagship store, and rebrand Dior to Jior. Meanwhile, I will stick to exploring better-tasting and just-as-cute cafes in Seoul. TTYL Pierre Herme!
pros: BEAUTIFUL interior, amazing futuristic outdoor area, clean, sophisticated, Dior perfume in the bathroom, cloth-like napkins! (I took one home and Mom Mun successfully washed it in the laundry)
cons: expensive, must own at least 3 pairs Louboutins to enter
what i recommend: I only had one thing and I wouldn't recommend it
find it: 464 Apgujeong-ro, Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul
