The Best Sandwiches in Seoul | NZ Story 뉴질랜드스토리 Jamsil

Just across the lake from Lotte Tower, this quaint restaurant is an unassuming place but is truly amazing. They take sandwiches to the next level in terms of presentation and flavor, and create the perfect environment for a convenient yet relaxing lunch.

Vibes

Think of a grandma-florist's-green-house-sun-room-in-the-middle-of-new-zealand. It reminds me a lot of Cafe Vers, but it TINY. So small, that you just might have to wait ~25 minutes to get in, and then have a couple who came AFTER you to take the next table because they only had a two seater open. I'm not bitter. I'd suggest coming when it just opens or after prime lunch hours.

The main food item here seems to be sandwiches. LET'S TALK ABOUT SANDWICHES. They were SO good. They're the best I've ever tasted. I'm not exaggerating. The magic is in the sauce.  Both the Cream Mahyo and Morroccan Chicken Sandwich had amazing flavor and were both priced at 9.000 won and 10.000 won. Seems a bit steep, but I 10/10 would do it again. We also ordered Red Berries and Lemon Ades, which were a good compliment to the sandwiches, but as most ades are, they were just a mix of juice/tea with Sprite (I saw the big Sprite bottle). If you order two entrees and two drinks, you also get a 2.000 won discount, which isn't much but it helps I guess!?

I would definitely come again for some relaxed brunching. This combines aesthetics vibes with delicious foods, and I was genuinely impressed! NZ Story is a big YES.

pros: pretty, lots of plants, great food, convenient (you pay for your food up front)

cons: small space, potential long wait

what i recommend: Moroccan Chicken Sandwich, Cream Mahyo Sanwich

find it: It's right across the lake by Lotte Tower...I would take a taxi, but you can also get off Jamsil or Seokchon Station and walk a little ways
