Epic Vegan Food in Korea | Plant 플랜트 Itaewon
vibes
Hidden in the second story a little off Exit 4 of Itaewon Station, Plant Cafe and Kitchen is a cute little homey restaurant that serves wholesome foods. The interior is decorated with several plants, cozy seating, and is blessed with sunlight coming through large windows. The tables, however, are made of this unsavory warm-toned wood that I can’t stand, but it ain’t my restaurant so I’ll just stop there.
foods
Plant Cafe is a wonderful little vegan restaurant that serves savory burgers, sandwiches and other entrees like soba bowls and curries.
Plant at lunchtime is always bustling so personally, I would go for a later lunch around 2. There are a few bestseller items indicated on the menu, and my friends and I, we stan them all. The cakes have that super-dense dough-ey texture that is characteristic of vegan baked goods, but if you’re into that they’re quite good. If I were to recommend one thing though, it is definitely the mushroom burgers!!! A new installment in 2019, this menu item is off the charts creamy, savory, and just plain amazing.
The menu items aren’t expensive, but aren’t cheap either.. Entrees are 12,000-15.000 won and smoothies and cakes are around 7,000 won.
final thoughts
I highly recommend going, whether you’re vegan or not. It’s a great restaurant with really kind staff and a nice atmosphere.
pros: extensive menu
cons: not that cheap and you’ll want to buy everything, can get busy during peak hours
what i recommend: mushroom burger, chilli cheese fries
