vibes
Amazing attention to detail for interior design. It looks like a fine dining restaurant with a very nice ambiance. Service stood out the most. I loved our waiters, they were wonderful...really attentive really friendly. The bathroom is also v pretty, you have to check it out.
fooods
Appetizers: We started off with guacamole, queso gringo, and habanero "kreeper" salsa. The salsa has a really nice kick (if you can't handle spice you probably won't like this). Guacamole did not disappoint. The queso was nice because it had added ingredients like gouda, black beans, pico de gallo, and salsa so it had a more interesting texture and taste.
Entrees: The dishes were like tapas, small and kind of expensive. One taco $4 and they were p.r.e.t.t.y. tiny. I was relieved that I didn't order that heh. The enchiladas are $9 and are much bigger portion wise. I ordered a chicken enchilada with Sweet Chili-Glazed Cracked Potatoes on the side. I also tried some of the mushroom enchiladas. The chicken enchilada was everything that you'd expect from a standard enchilada. I didn't think it was very special, but it tasted good and it was served on a hot plate which was nice. The mushroom was more fresh and healthy tasting, but less flavorful. The potatoes were by far my favorite. They're crispy and have this addictive sweet chili glazing ah I'd honestly go back for just that.
Drinks: As for drinks, we ordered a LOT. and I tried them all. The margarita was really good. Virgin sangria roja was a dumb decision that I made because it was literally just cranberry juice. I get it. Sangria is all wine. ok. cool. whatever. The virgin and alcoholic Chile Mango was unique and is definitely worth trying. I enjoyed the Cerveza Paloma as well. They're all very pretty as well.
Dessert: Almost forgot about dessert. The churros and _____ (can't find the name! some custardy, rice dessert with peanuts and caramel on top) were soo good! Everything was perfectly sweet and great for sharing.
final thots
I would definitely come again, especially for the drinks, potatoes, and dessert. Food won't disappoint in terms of quality but may disappoint in terms of size. If you want tacos, order like 2-3 and then add on a side. Enchiladas can act as a stand-alone but I enjoyed having a side as well.
pros: ambiance, service
cons: tiny tacos
what I recommend: cracked potatoes, Chile Mango, Margarita, habanero salsa. Also check out the different brunch, lunch, and dinner menus. Items vary.
