Here is your guide to food and restaurants in Seoul, California, New York, and Nashville mmm.

All You Can Eat Sushi in Nashville at Sushi 88

Vibes

The interior was quite nice, some people thought it was tacky but I thought it was well done. It's designed like a typical Japanese  American resturant with red lanterns, wood painted black, and paper koi fish. The place was not very packed even though we went at a pretty conventional dinner time.

fooods

I was very satisfied with the food. There are a few things to keep in mind. If you're going to a sushi restaurant in the White South where there is no ocean to be seen, you can't possibly expect some life-changing sushi. Also, $20 (with student discount) is a very reasonable price considering one roll is around $10. Here, quantity is much more important than quality, but hey the quality ain't bad. I suspect/know, however, that the seaweed salad, dim sum, gyoza, and desserts are store bought and not made in-house. Another thing I noticed was that the sashimi is frozen but I just waited for it to thaw (lol) and it tasted great. Can you tell how much lower my expectations are? But I really enjoyed a lot of the items and ate till I thought I was going to explode :-). We ordered three rounds of food, and I guess that was a lot because the lady was clearly very impressed that we could finish everything #cri.

final thots

Definitely worth going to esp if you're in the mood for trying a lot of different types of sushi. I recommend going for lunch when the price is a few dollars cheaper (around $17 and even less with the discount!) and most importantly, starving beforehand so you have room in your stomach!!!

pros: STUDENT DISCOUNT, AYCE, quick turnaround

cons: frozen sashimi (tbh I didn't care)

what I recommend: katsu, steak, seaweed salad, matcha ice cream, volcano roll, (I forgot the name, but it has chunks of tuna and avocado in rice paper)
