Things I Did in Chicago (Fall 2017)

1. Millenium Park, Lurie Garden

Chicago is blessed to have a beautiful park like this. Such a good photo spot and a great place to walk around after eating way too much. We even saw an Instagram hubby at work, he even fixed his gf's hair before taking her picture can I cry?

2. Dimsum at Minghin Cuisine (Millenium Park)

The perfect way to fulfill my Asian food craving. Turnip cakes, shumai, ongchoy, twice cooked pork, shrimp and pork noodle roll, shrimp dumpling, egg buns FUKYESSS. I've been waiting to have dimsum ever since I've been hooked on StrictlyDumpling videos. I ate too much what is new.

3. Brunch at The Allis

The Allis and Soho are my life goals. This is who I want to become. Spending 50 on brunch every Saturday morning on velvet chairs hell yes ToT. Vallet is $12 but u gots to act like it's no big deal. They also have a fried chicken spot upstairs but didn't get to try it out (it's not as pretty (or well lit)).

4. Garfield Conservatory

It's FREE so why not? My favorite area was Desert House, aka the succulent/cactus section. I also enjoyed the grassy section of Monet Garden.

5. AYCE at Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot

So. Much. Food. I could not bear to stand up because the pressure in my stomach was overwhelming. Around $21 for all you can eat, which seems reasonable. We died after 1.5 rounds, but we ordered A LOT round 1 and 2. No complaints, however, everything tasted really good. I suggest enjoying it with some Sprite :P.

6. Kung Fu Tea

I got the green yogurt with bubbles and less sweet. I should've just gotten green milk tea tbh. Cash only but they have an ATM there if you're willing to pay a fee.

7. ZEDD AT PRYSM

AMAZING perfomer. AMAZING. His smile is so contagious and seeing his adorable elvish face genuinely having a good time made me  smile so hard. When he played Clarity all the high school memories (the happy ones) came to me. Bless his soul Selena was a lucky woman.

8. Mindy's hot chocolate restaurant and dessert bar

This place has the most decadent hot chocolate ever. I got a 50/50 which is half espresso and half dark hot chocolate. Madison got the Mexican Hot Chocolate. They all come with a little marshmallow~ I couldn't handle it much after drinking half of it but the first few sips were mind blowing! The cheese spread was yums although there were only two types of cheese. I got the sweet potato gnocchi with sage and Madison got the grain bowl which had grilled shrimp, veggies, and I think barley. We decided not to go for dessert.

9. Harold's Chicken aka one of the best chickens I've ever tasted

We didn't have dessert at Mindy's but we had fried chicken like 2 hours after... #yolo. It started raining really hard and there were flash floods, so we  had  to traverse rivers of rain and sludge just to get this Harold's fried chicken. We had to use our very limited problem solving skills and short stubby legs to jump over puddles and stuff. Anyways the place itself  is nothing like I've ever seen before. It looks like an inverted toy barn with chicken wallpaper and really jarring red and blue interior. Also the cashier is behind a bulletproof glass wall and food is served via a glass carousel (it's not the safest neighborhood). But the FOOOOOD. the chicken is so juicy and the skin is sooo crunchy, so amazing, and they douse everything with hot sauce UGH. and the ONION RINGS. You have to try it. Best way to end the night.

10. a $42.00 Uber to O'Hare

i died.

Conclusion

I will be back.
