Here is your guide to food and restaurants in Seoul, California, New York, and Nashville mmm.

A Super Hippie Burger Join | Brooklyn the Burger 브루클린더버거조인트 Garosugil

brooklyn the burger is one of the more well-known burger joints in Seoul, in several locations including sinsa-dong and seocho-gu. american burgers here are all the hype, so I decided to give it a try.

Vibes

this place is so hippie/old american/diner-ish complete with cheap (looking) laminated wooden walls with those white tables that you see in every trashy fast food restaurant. the lighting was absolutely shitty, which made me cri inside. I will admit, however, that the strange decor and art work served as a good source of entertainment while waiting for the food to come out.

Fooods

a burger ranges from 9,000-12,000 won, which is decently priced for a burger in seoul. the prices for sides were a bit outrageous, however, averaging at around 8,000 won (7,000 for some plain fries!!1).

we ordered the Brooklyn Works burger and some cheese fries. the patty was too salty but i cannot ignore the fact that it was cooked perfectly well (they cook their burgers medium well unless otherwise requested).

Final Thots

decently priced entrees, interesting decor, and great burgers. I highly recommend if you are looking for authentic american food. if you like enjoying your burgers with fries, but don't want to spend a shit ton of money, don't fret. there's an option for making your order into a combo including a drink and fries just for an additional 5,000 won.

pros: accessibility, prices in general

cons: dark, expensive fries

what i recommend: CREAM burger, Brooklyn Works burger, cheese fries

find it: 12 Dosan-daero 15-gil, Sinsa-dong
